Julie~ you amaze me with your heart. Here you are sorry for the crummy service you got, call back and apologize to a different person and still get things worked out.
I am saying it here and now............I'M SORRY!
I'm sorry to that person whose car I parked waaaay too close to, I'm sorry to my van and all it's bumps and bruises, I'm sorry to my husband for feigning disbelief and ignorance when he points out yet another scratch, scrape, nick, OK, OK it is a big fat friggin' HOLE in the front underside of the van....(How does he see these things?!) That is a phrase I trip over, don't bring it up to my husband he knows this is a RARE statement indeed!

My solution? I'm dressing in black for the holidays! Dinner last night at PF Chang's and ate that WHITE rice until I thought I might have to loosen my BLACK belt! Maybe I'll wear a black cape to the dessert party next weekend come to think of it. Thanks for the great ideas Julie...black is #6 of the 5 healthy food groups!

Hi Rebecca,

Loved the video. This aligns so nicely with the vision of Karmic Acts of Kindness. As parents, it is our responsibility to empower our kids with "The Blessing." Children reciprocate by empowering us to consciously improve all aspects of our life.

My children have embraced the concept of Karmic Acts of Kindness as well as the principles of "The Blessing." They believe that they have the power to make BIG changes through small acts - and, you know what? I believe they have that power too.

On a side note, our first KAoK club meeting is tonight...I'll share all the details later, but this is just one way that kids can start making a difference. Stay tuned!!

In chaos, karma, creativity and kindness,
Julie

JWS,

I love this site - we need to take more time, guiding our children to utilize their gifts and share with kind and generous hearts.

I'd recommend this video clip regarding The Blessing, about the gifts we give our children, which I believe you are sharing with millions of children:

Let me know your thoughts,

Just a quick update, folks...for some reason, today's KAoK proved harder than we thought. We're all set with our gifts, but cannot seem to find a drop-off location today. Target and Wal-Mart do not have drop-offs. Toys R Us wasn't sure if they had started their collection yet. So...we have decided to make a slight adjustment to today's KAoK. Instead of purchasing and delivering our gifts, we purchased and made cards to deliver to a local agency. The kids also practiced their kind manners today...a lot.
